The Founder

Born in Batroun North Lebanon, Malek Daou is a champion windsurfer 2001 - 2002 Olympic Arab Games; he dedicates his life to teaching surf and windsurf.

About BWS

Batroun Water Sports is a grassroots organization founded by Malek Daou in 2007.

It has been at the forefront of conservation efforts in the Lebanese Northern area of Batroun and has since been integral in cultivating and promoting a relation of respect and preservation with the Mediterranean.

Our Mission

Our mission is to contribute to and promote the preservation of maritime resources in order to achieve a more sustainable relation with nature for both our well-being and that of future generations.
